Description

Background. One of the founding Vertigo titles and the one that has been hardest to find ever since. Peter Milligan kept a book this strange on the shelves for seventy issues by never repeating a structure.

What's inside. Vol. 1 collects the first half with art by Chris Bachalo and others, including The American Scream. Vol. 2 collects the second half, with Bachalo, Mark Buckingham and Richard Case.

Why it's worth it. This is early Bachalo, before the style hardened, drawing madness as something physical. The American Scream alone justifies the first volume, and the later issues with Buckingham and Case in the second had never been collected anywhere at all before this.
