About this omnibus

The second omnibus follows Shade past the point where the madness stops being outside him. Milligan keeps changing the format, the body and the narrator, and the run finishes as one of the few Vertigo series that got to end exactly how its writer wanted.

X-Statix Omnibus

X-Statix Omnibus

Peter Milligan and Mike Allred reimagined X-Force as a team of mutants whose primary power isn't strength or telepathy — it's fame. X-Statix (originally called X-Force until the name change) is a corporate-sponsored superhero team that exists primarily to generate media content.

Justice League Dark: The New 52 Omnibus

Justice League Dark: The New 52 Omnibus

Justice League Dark was the New 52's answer to a simple problem: some threats cannot be punched, and the League has nobody who can handle them. Putting John Constantine on a team is inherently unstable, and the book knows it, he is there to betray them and everyone has accepted that. Zatanna, Deadman and Madame Xanadu get their best modern material, and the Trinity of Sin chapters are essential to the Trinity War crossover.

Red Lanterns: The New 52 Omnibus

Red Lanterns: The New 52 Omnibus

Atrocitus builds a corps out of pure rage, gives some of them their minds back, and immediately regrets it. Milligan and then Charles Soule take the least promising Green Lantern spin off and turn it into a book about anger as an addiction, complete with a cat that is genuinely one of the best characters DC created that decade.
