Super Sons Omnibus is one of the easiest DC books to like. It does not try to be the biggest, darkest or most important story on the shelf. It wins in a simpler way: Damian Wayne and Jon Kent bounce off each other so well that the book becomes genuinely fun to read.
Why the pairing works
Damian is arrogant, sharp and trained to treat everything like a mission. Jon is warmer, more open and still learning what being Superman’s son means. Put them together and the contrast does most of the work.
The charm is that the book understands both boys. It is not just jokes about Damian being difficult; it gives the friendship enough room to feel earned.
Why buy it as an omnibus
This is exactly the kind of run that benefits from being collected cleanly. The tone stays light, the episodes move quickly, and reading a big chunk together makes the friendship feel stronger.
It is also a nice shelf if your DC collection has become too heavy. Not every omnibus needs to be trauma, crisis and mythology. Sometimes the best buy is the one you actually enjoy reading.
Who may not need it
If you only collect the major Batman or Superman pillars, this may feel secondary. It is not the book that defines either franchise on its own.
But as a character-driven side shelf with real warmth, it is much better than a “minor” title sounds.
Buying verdict
Yes, if you want a DC omnibus with charm and reread value. It is not the most essential DC hardcover, but it may be one of the easiest to enjoy.
For a buyer, that matters. A collection needs big monuments, but it also needs books that are simply good company.
