The second half of DC's illustrated directory, running through the rest of the alphabet and into the post Crisis updates. Same format, same idea: one character per page, drawn by whoever owned them, from the biggest names in the line to characters nobody has used since.

Every character DC owned, one per page, drawn by the artist most associated with them. Who's Who was published monthly in the 1980s as a loose leaf encyclopedia and it is still the best single record of what the DC universe contained before Crisis rearranged it.

Darkseid cannot beat Earth's heroes, so he sets out to make the public stop believing in them instead. Legends is the first event DC ran after Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the fallout created the Suicide Squad, the Justice League International and the Flash everyone knows today.

Everything Kirby made at DC in the 1970s that was not the Fourth World, in one volume: Kamandi, OMAC, the Demon, Sandman, Kobra and the war stories. He was writing, drawing and editing all of it at once, at an age when most creators are repeating themselves.

Ditko created Spider-Man and Doctor Strange and then spent decades at DC building characters nobody asked him for: the Creeper, Shade the Changing Man, Hawk and Dove, Stalker. This omnibus collects all of it, and it is the strangest looking superhero work of its era.

The second New 52 Justice League omnibus covers the back half of Geoff Johns' run, when the team's internal politics became the plot. Trinity War is the crossover where three Justice League teams fight each other over a murder none of them committed, and it is the best structured event DC published in the New 52. Johns also finally writes the Superman and Wonder Woman relationship as a decision with consequences rather than a marketing beat.

Aquaman by Geoff Johns Omnibus restores Arthur Curry as a king caught between ridicule, responsibility and the violent pull of Atlantis. Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Paul Pelletier make the ocean feel royal, dangerous and political, turning Aquaman into a lead who has to prove himself on land and underwater.

Geoff Johns wrote Avengers between the Busiek era and Disassembled, with Olivier Coipel on art. It is the run that asked whether a superhero team can act as a global authority without becoming one. The premise is sharp: every capital city on Earth vanishes and the nations turn to the Avengers, while Thor ascends to Asgard's throne and starts answering prayers directly — putting him at odds with Iron Man and Captain America. Johns writes the standoff as politics rather than a fight, and Coipel's art here is the reason he later got House of M.

Superboy Prime raises an army of every villain the Legion ever fought, so the Legion answers by fielding three versions of itself from three timelines at once. Johns and Perez drew every Legionnaire who has ever existed onto the same page and somehow kept it readable.

Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Omnibus collects the complete run that rebuilt the team for a new generation: Superboy, Robin, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl joined by Cyborg, Starfire and Beast Boy as reluctant mentors. Johns writes teenagers who are genuinely afraid of becoming their predecessors, and the run contains 'The Future Is Now', still one of the best-loved Titans stories.

Brightest Day Omnibus collects the year-long series that followed Blackest Night, in which twelve heroes and villains return from the dead and none of them know why. Geoff Johns and Peter J. Tomasi use it to rebuild Aquaman, Firestorm, Hawkman and Martian Manhunter at once, and it contains the Aquaman material that led directly into the New 52 relaunch.

JSA by Geoff Johns, collected complete as a pack of 3 oversized omnibus volumes and cheaper than buying them one by one.
