Mike Perkins is a British artist built for grounded, noir-tinged storytelling: dense hatching, heavy spotted blacks and a cinematic sense of staging that make espionage and horror feel physical. His figures are naturalistic and his pages read like film, which is why he suits crime thrillers and post-apocalyptic drama far more than bright cape-and-tights spectacle.

His most collectible run is Ed Brubaker's Captain America, where Perkins' realism carried the Winter Soldier era and the death of Steve Rogers, material gathered in the Captain America by Brubaker omnibus line.
