Writers

Tony Bedard

Bedard writes serialised superhero comics built to run for years: Green Lantern Corps, R.E.B.E.L.S. and the second half of the New 52 Supergirl, including Red Daughter of Krypton.

Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 3

Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 3

The third and final Johns omnibus covers Brightest Day, the New 52 relaunch and the arrival of Simon Baz, closing a run that had reshaped the franchise entirely. The last act is Johns' most ambitious: Sinestro wearing a green ring, Hal Jordan stripped of his, and the Guardians deciding the Corps was a mistake all along. The New 52 issues are also unusual in that they ignore the reboot almost entirely, which lets Johns finish the story he started in 2004 on his own terms.

Supergirl: The New 52 Omnibus Vol. 2

Supergirl: The New 52 Omnibus Vol. 2

Kara Zor-El spends the second half of the New 52 run angry enough to be handed a Red Lantern ring, which is exactly as bad an idea as it sounds. Red Daughter of Krypton is the stretch where the series finally works out what to do with a Supergirl who does not want to be a symbol.
