Alan Davis

Alan Davis is one of the few creators who excels equally as writer and artist. His Excalibur run with Chris Claremont launched one of Marvel's most inventive concepts — X-Men characters stranded across alternate realities — and his subsequent solo tenure as writer-artist turned the book into a showcase for genuinely witty, character-driven superhero storytelling. His Captain Britain work with Alan Moore established the character as one of the most sophisticated in Marvel's UK line.
