Description
Background. Wolverine Goes to Hell launched Aaron's 2010 Wolverine run with a concept that was both formally inventive and emotionally coherent — Logan's soul goes to Hell (literally) while his body, possessed by the enemy, attacks his friends. The dual narrative gave Aaron room to explore what Wolverine's afterlife psychology looks like, who he meets in Hell, and whether someone as morally complicated as Logan can fight his way out. It's a complete story that also functions as a character manifesto.
What's inside. This omnibus focuses on the Wolverine Goes to Hell arc and its immediate aftermath, collecting the key Aaron/Guedes issues that launched the run. The story follows Logan's soul through the Marvel Universe's Hell, his physical body's possession and the damage it causes to his relationships, and the conclusion where the two are reunited with irreversible consequences.
Why it's worth it. Goes to Hell is the most formally ambitious opening arc of any Wolverine creative run — it uses the character's mythology (healing factor, berserker rage, traumatic past) in service of a genuinely original story rather than simply rehashing established elements. For readers who want a self-contained Wolverine omnibus with a complete beginning-to-end story, this is the strongest single-arc option in the character's modern library.
