About this omnibus

Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force is the run where a black-ops mutant team decides who deserves to die, and then has to live with every answer. The Dark Angel Saga is the high point — Archangel's transformation into Apocalypse's heir, and Psylocke forced to choose — but the run's real subject is what killing costs a team that has convinced itself it is necessary. Jerome Opeña and Esad Ribić draw it, and it is widely considered the best X-book of the 2010s.

X-Force omnibus editions collect the main shelves where this character or team shapes the reading order, including Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender Omnibus.

Cable & X-Force Omnibus

Cable & X-Force Omnibus

Cable & X-Force collects the mid-nineties stretch when Marvel's two most commercially successful mutant properties shared writers, subplots and a body count. This is the period after Rob Liefeld left, when writers had to make the characters work without the launch hype: Cable's techno-organic virus becomes a real limitation, and X-Force stops being a strike team and starts being a group of teenagers with nowhere to go. The Phalanx Covenant chapters are here too.

X-Force Omnibus Vol. 1

X-Force Omnibus Vol. 1

Cable transforms the New Mutants into X-Force — a proactive, militaristic strike team that hunts threats before they strike. Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza create the most extreme team of the 90s with Cable, Domino, Shatterstar, Warpath, Cannonball, Boom-Boom and Feral. Liefeld's hyper-muscular, pouch-heavy art and Nicieza's action-driven scripts defined the 90s X-Men aesthetic. This omnibus covers the team's explosive debut and early missions, including confrontations with the Mutant Liberation Front, Stryfe, and the Legacy Virus storyline that would affect the entire X-line for years.

Deadpool & X-Force Omnibus

Deadpool & X-Force Omnibus

This omnibus collects the crossover stories placing Deadpool within the orbit of X-Force — two of Marvel's most extreme 90s properties colliding in stories that use the mercenary's irreverence to comment on the grimly purposeful world Cable built around him. The contrast between Deadpool's chaos and X-Force's militant discipline produced some of the most entertaining comics of the era, with Fabian Nicieza's sharp dialogue ensuring the comedic potential was fully exploited.

Rick Remender omnibus editions collect the writer shelves where voice, era and continuity matter, including Agent Venom Omnibus, Punisher by Rick Remender Omnibus, Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender Omnibus.

Agent Venom Omnibus

Agent Venom Omnibus

Agent Venom is Flash Thompson, Spider-Man's high-school bully turned war veteran, bonded to the symbiote as a government weapon he is allowed to wear for forty-eight hours at a time. Rick Remender writes the addiction metaphor without flinching: Flash is a recovering alcoholic wearing something that wants him to relapse. It is the run that made Venom a lead character rather than a Spider-Man villain, and it is the direct source of the version Marvel has published ever since.

Punisher by Rick Remender Omnibus

Punisher by Rick Remender Omnibus

PRH describes Rick Remender's Punisher run as one of the character's wildest. It begins in the Dark Reign atmosphere, where Norman Osborn's world puts Frank in the crosshairs, and then pushes the premise far past a standard crime-war setup. This is the Punisher shelf for readers who want the strange Marvel version, not the grounded MAX version. Remender turns Frank's death and reconstruction into a grotesque, high-concept detour that still asks whether anything human is left under the mission.

Captain America by Rick Remender Omnibus

Captain America by Rick Remender Omnibus

Rick Remender's Captain America — one of the most creatively ambitious runs of the Marvel NOW! era, collected in a single omnibus. Remender stranded Steve Rogers in the dimension of Dimension Z for years of subjective time, aging him, breaking him, and rebuilding him in ways no previous writer had attempted.

Uncanny Avengers Omnibus

Uncanny Avengers Omnibus

Rick Remender's Uncanny Avengers launched immediately after Avengers vs. X-Men as the flagship title of Marvel NOW! — a Unity Squad of Avengers and X-Men working together to fulfill Charles Xavier's dream of human/mutant coexistence, led by Captain America and Havok. Remender used the format to address the damage Cyclops's actions had done to the mutant cause, positioned Havok as a controversial spokesperson for a post-AvX mutant identity, and built toward the Apocalypse Twins storyline — a massive alternate future/time-travel epic where the villains literally won.
