Description

Background. DC Versus Marvel is a special crossover shelf rather than a normal single-universe run. The appeal is historical: stories where DC and Marvel characters meet directly, often after years of being treated as impossible fan-shop arguments.

What's inside. PRH describes a wide cross-publisher collection running from 1976's Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man through later DC/Marvel specials. The listed material includes Superman/Spider-Man meetings, Marvel Treasury Edition #28, The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans, Batman/Punisher, Batman/Captain America, Batman/Spider-Man and other one-shots.

Why it's worth it. This is best treated as an event/crossover exception, not a character-led omnibus. For collectors, the value is having rare and long out-of-print DC/Marvel encounters together, especially stories that usually sit outside normal Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men or Superman shelves.

Edition details. 1096 pages. Oversized hardcover, 7-1/16 x 10-7/8 inches. US edition published by DC Comics. ISBN 9781779528827.
