Miles Morales debuted in 2011 as the new Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe following Peter Parker's death, created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli. Of Afro-Latino heritage, Miles brought a fresh, diverse perspective to the spider legacy, connecting with a new generation of readers.

After the Ultimate Universe collapsed in Secret Wars (2015), Miles was integrated into the main Marvel universe, where he has coexisted with Peter Parker as another active Spider-Man.
