Description

Background. Before relaunching the Ultimate Universe in 2023, Jonathan Hickman wrote his original take on it. This omnibus collects that earlier 2010–2012 run — the period after Death of Spider-Man — where Hickman turned Earth-1610 into a stage for geopolitical, globe-spanning superhero fiction. It's best known as the run where Reed Richards begins his fall toward becoming the Maker.

What's inside. Ultimate Comics Ultimates #1–12, Ultimate Thor #1–4, Ultimate Comics Hawkeye #1–4 and material from Ultimate Fallout #2–6. The central Ultimates arc follows the rise of the "Children of Tomorrow" and their City, a posthuman society that outgrows nation-states, as a fractured Ultimates team scrambles to respond. Illustrated by a lineup including Carlos Pacheco, Esad Ribić, Rafa Sandoval and Bryan Hitch.
