Cable

Cable — Nathan Summers, son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor — is a time-displaced soldier whose existence is shaped by a mission he inherited before he could choose it. Infected as an infant with the techno-organic virus and sent to the future, he returned as a massive, scarred warrior with one glowing eye and a pragmatist's approach to saving the world permanently at odds with Xavier's idealism. His psi powers — when the T-O virus is not suppressing them — are Omega-level.

Cable & X-Force Omnibus

Cable & X-Force Omnibus gathers the militarized, high-impact side of mutant comics, where Cable builds teams around urgency, weapons and futures that have already gone wrong. Fabian Nicieza and Tony Daniel give the book the charged 90s energy of missions that feel one mistake away from collapse. The edition adds value by keeping the mutant context together: team politics, continuity pressure and character fallout have room to build instead of being reduced to isolated plot points.

The Liefeld design and Nicieza scripts that launched Cable in New Mutants and early X-Force are collected in the New Mutants Omnibus. Ed Brubaker and Duane Swierczynski's post-Messiah Complex run paired Cable with Hope Summers in a chase through the timestream — among the best sustained Cable storytelling in collected editions. Jonathan Hickman's Krakoa-era reinvention as the island's youthful warrior added a fresh layer to a character often reduced to his armament.
