Harry G. Peter's art is instantly recognizable as the founding visual language of Wonder Woman. His stylized, decorative Golden Age line gave the character an ornamental elegance far removed from the muscular house style that later dominated superhero comics. Flat figures, patterned costumes and a mature, almost illustrative touch set his pages apart.

Peter drew Wonder Woman from her 1941 debut through the 1950s, and that long, unbroken run is what defines his work.
