52 Omnibus follows DC's weekly year after Infinite Crisis, when Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are absent from the centre of the universe. William Messner-Loebs and Greg LaRocque catch Wally West at a raw, transitional point: fast enough to be Flash, but still figuring out the kind of man behind the lightning. This omnibus has the feel of late-80s and early-90s DC street energy, with super-speed filtered through debt, confidence, romance, danger and the pressure of living up to a name that still belongs to a legend.

Spider-Man by Michelinie & Larsen Omnibus catches Peter Parker at full early-90s velocity: Erik Larsen drawing every swing like it might burst off the page, and David Michelinie pushing Spider-Man through bigger villains, bigger stakes and a louder Marvel universe. Venom grows deadlier, the Sinister Six return, and Peter's life refuses to stay small.

Ed Brubaker and Darwyn Cooke rebuild Catwoman as Gotham crime noir: less jewel thief fantasy, more street-level survivor with a neighbourhood to protect and a past that refuses to stay buried. Selina Kyle returns to the East End, where old streets, old wounds and a string of murders pull her back into the life she thought she had escaped. This is one of the strongest Catwoman eras for readers who want atmosphere, moral ambiguity and Gotham seen from below.

Nightwing: Rebirth Omnibus is Dick Grayson stepping back into his own symbol. After years of shifting identities and Bat-family gravity, Rebirth gives him the chance to return to Nightwing with Blüdhaven, old ghosts and new pressure waiting for him. The book works because Dick is never just Batman's former partner; he is movement, charm, damage and independence.

Batman by Tom King Omnibus Vol. 1 begins a psychological Batman run where romance, trauma, war stories and impossible heroism all press against Bruce Wayne at once. The book is less interested in Batman as a flawless machine than in the cost of asking one damaged man to become a symbol forever. For Batman readers, the value is the tension between casework and psychology: Gotham is not only a backdrop, but a pressure system that keeps exposing what Bruce can and cannot control.

Following DC Rebirth in 2016, Tomasi and Gleason write a father Superman: not a loner or a Clark Kent in crisis, but a man who has to teach his son Jonathan Kent what it means to have powers. One of the most ambitious periods ever written about Batman begins here. Grant Morrison rewrites the character based on a radical thesis: everything published since 1939 is canon. Damian Wayne appears for the first time as the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. The seeds of Batman R.I.P. begin to take shape. Andy Kubert provides spectacular art that handles Morrison's densest plotting with visual clarity. The beginning of a seven-year run that would transform Batman mythology permanently.

Jason Aaron's Avengers Forever is the cosmic-scale companion to his main Avengers run — a multiverse-spanning series bringing together Avengers variants from across the Marvel omniverse to battle the Multiversal Masters of Evil, a team of the most dangerous villains from different realities assembled by a version of Doom who conquered his entire universe. Aaron used the multiverse premise to comment on the Avengers concept itself, asking what the team means when its existence replicates across every possible reality.

Peter David returns to the black-suit era with the fun question every symbiote reader asks: what else happened before Peter understood what the costume really was? This omnibus fills that dangerous gap with Mysterio, Hobgoblin, Doctor Strange, Kang, Knull, Hulk, Black Cat trouble and even a 2099 detour for Miguel O'Hara. It is Spider-Man symbiote material with modern pace, old-school continuity hooks and a direct road toward Venom mythology.

Batman Eternal Omnibus is Gotham as a pressure cooker: conspiracies, gang wars, corrupt systems and Bat-family threads colliding until the city feels too big for one hero to hold alone. Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Tim Seeley and the art team turn the weekly format into a sprawling urban thriller.

Agent Venom Omnibus is the moment Venom stops being only Spider-Man's nightmare and becomes Flash Thompson's second chance. Rick Remender turns the symbiote into a black-ops weapon with a damaged hero inside it, built around addiction, military trauma and the desire to be useful. The run works because Flash is never simply cool in the suit: Secret Avengers missions, alien violence and the symbiote's hunger keep pulling against his attempt to control both the mission and himself.

Batman by James Tynion IV Omnibus Vol. 2 continues the Gotham shake-up through Joker War fallout, Ghost-Maker, Clownhunter and Fear State pressure. The run asks whether Batman can still operate the way he used to when the city, his resources and his enemies have all changed shape.

Aquaman by Geoff Johns Omnibus restores Arthur Curry as a king caught between ridicule, responsibility and the violent pull of Atlantis. Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and Paul Pelletier make the ocean feel royal, dangerous and political, turning Aquaman into a lead who has to prove himself on land and underwater.

Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee join forces for the event that's been talked about for years: someone is manipulating all of Batman's villains from the shadows, someone who knows him personally. Each issue brings a classic villain under Hush's control. The story that defined the modern look of Batman for a generation.

Batman: Knightfall Omnibus Vol. 3 is the recovery volume: Bruce Wayne returns, Jean-Paul Valley loses himself inside the Batman symbol, and Gotham has to reckon with what the mantle means after Bane broke the old order. KnightsEnd and Prodigal turn the ending into a Bat-family story about damage, identity and succession.

Wonder Woman by Phil Jimenez Omnibus collects one of Diana's most character-rich modern DC runs in an 856-page oversized hardcover. The volume follows Wonder Woman through Gotham, Washington, Themyscira, family conflict, public responsibility and the wider DC Universe, with Phil Jimenez shaping the book as both writer and defining artist.

Paul Dini writes Zatanna like a stage magician who knows the trick can still kill her. Glamour, wit, demons, old debts and impossible spells all sit under the spotlight, giving the book theatrical charm without sanding away the danger. This is Zatanna as the lead act, not just a guest star in someone else's magic story.

Gail Simone turns Birds of Prey into a team book with bite: sharp dialogue, espionage tension, damaged trust and women who refuse to be reduced to support roles. Oracle, Black Canary and Huntress give the series its pulse, moving between covert missions and emotional fallout with a chemistry that still feels fresh.

The Flash by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 3 focuses on Geoff Johns's Flash mythology, with the Flash family shaped by Rogues, legacy, Speed Force consequences and emotional pressure around the costume. The appeal is not only continuity; it is watching a specific DC period find its tone, cast and visual rhythm.

Nightwing by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo Omnibus Vol. 1 is Dick Grayson choosing a different kind of power in Bludhaven: money, attention and trust redirected toward people rather than weapons. It is a modern Nightwing run built around hope, motion and community. The volume is Nightwing as heart, organizer and survivor: Taylor and Redondo build Bludhaven around Dick's optimism, public responsibility and the cost of being visible.

With Bruce Wayne convalescing, Jean-Paul Valley takes up the mantle in a radically different version: claws, flamethrower and zero moral restraint. It raises the central question of the saga: what makes Batman Batman, the suit or the principles? The answer the writers give redefines the character permanently. Valley's increasingly erratic behaviour forces the question of whether Gotham needs Batman or just any powerful protector. Chuck Dixon and Doug Moench write the central conflict with genuine moral weight.

Batman & Robin by Tomasi and Gleason Omnibus collects the New 52 father-son run where Bruce Wayne and Damian Wayne become the emotional centre of the Batman line. Across a huge reading block, Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason turn Batman and Robin into a story about grief, training, trust and what family means in Gotham.
