Led by Xi'an Chi Xan (later replaced by the charismatic Cerebra), the team navigates a world where mutants are exploited by corporations and hunted by the Synge Corporation. Writer John Francis Moore created a compelling future mythology that stands on its own while honoring the original X-Men themes.
